What We Believe

It’s really quite impossible to reduce what we believe about God, faith, salvation, the Bible and the Christian life to a few simple sentences or paragraphs, but we can say that everything begins and ends with Jesus Christ:

In Jesus, there is hope, forgiveness, life and purpose.

Jesus makes a way for us to be reconciled with God the Father; the broken relationship can be mended in Jesus.

Jesus equips us with His Spirit so that we might grow to resemble Him in His character.

Jesus taught us how to pray. He set us an example for how we are to serve other people. He modeled compassion and right priorities in life. Jesus showed what obedience and humility looked like in tangible ways. He taught us how to regard money and how we are to love people, even to go as far as to love our enemies.

The Bible says in the book of John, “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.”

So much more could be said about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. So, as a simple starting point, we believe that we must be in relationship with Jesus and live like Him in this world.
